Adobe Campaign Control Panel allows you to add SSL certificates to secure your subdomains.

Steps to add SSL certificates

Adding SSL certificates requires three steps:

1. Generate Certificate Signing Requests

The Certificate Signing Request (CSR) is required for the purchase of an SSL certificate. It must be generated for the instance and the subdomains you are planning to secure.

This video, I will show you how to - install SSL certificate via Campaign Control Panel. Oftentimes you want to - secure your subdomains, where you request - information from end users, such as payment information - or private information via the Secure Socket - Layer or SSL certificate. In order to get started, go to Campaign Control Panel and navigate to Subdomains and Certificates card. In this card, you will see the list of the subdomains delegated - to Adobe Campaign. Along with information about - their SSL certificates. For the purposes of the demo, I would like to install an SSL certificate to one of the subdomains, which currently does not - have any SSL certificates. I start by clicking on the - Manage Certificate button. SSL certificate installation - could take a few days primarily because it requires - purchasing SSL certificate and that part can not be - done in control panel. But in general, it is - a three step process. It starts with generating - certificate signing request in the control panel. You can only generate - certificate signing requests for the subdomains that have - been previously delegated to Adobe Campaign. You then have to use that - certificate signing request to purchase SSL certificate - from a certificate authority that your organization approves. After you purchased the certificate, you then have to install it - via the Campaign Control Panel. So get started with generating - certificate signing request, click Next and include the information about your organization - in the form provided.
For example, I include - the organization and the country United States.
It is important that you - provide accurate information as all of this information - will be verified in order to provide you - with the SSL certificate.
Hit Next, and then add all the subdomains that you would like to secure - with an SSL certificate from this certificate signing request. You can add one, two, three, - or as many as you like. And then in the additional step we ask that you specifically let us know which specific additional - subdomains you would like to secure with SSL certificate. I only need to secure one, - therefore I select one.
Check the summary screen to ensure that all information provided is correct. And the subdomain that - you’d like to secure is listed correctly as well. Click Submit, you’ll get a text file with a certificate signing request, which you then need to use in order to purchase your SSL certificate. -

Several enhancements have been made to the CSR generation process:
  • When generating a CSR, you can now select one of the included subdomains as the Common Name.
  • You can now copy the CSR summary before generating the CSR.
  • Once a CSR has been generated, you can download it again from the job logs. This capability does not apply to certificates generated before this release.

2. Purchase SSL Certificate

After obtaining the CSR, you must purchase the SSL certificate from a Certificate Authority approved by your organization.

3. Install SSL Certificates

Once you have obtained the SSL certificate, it must be installed for the subdomains you are planning on securing.

After you purchase an SSL certificate from the certificate authority of your choice, and you validate that certificate, you need to install the certificate or the sub domain, using the control panel. Navigate to control panel and click install the certificate from the manage certificate button.
Now, get the certificate that you received from the certificate authority, and simply drag and drop it into the interface. If you see an arrow, then it’s probably because your certificate might be missing something, so we recommend that you do not unzip your certificate bundle. Once you dragged and dropped it, the certificate is accepted and you can see in the job logs area, whatever not the job is pending. Sometimes you need to refresh a page, if you would like to see the status of your submitted request. Once you refresh the page, that you see under the pending section, that your certificate is being installed. You can also quickly click on the log, and verify that is indeed for the instance and the sub domain that you installed it for. Once the certificate is installed, you can see it again in the job logs section, underneath the finish, the status should be completed if everything was correct and installed properly.
You can refresh the page, and quickly see that instead of two sub domains that previously had SSL certificates installed, now you have three. -
