ACSD-65331: Selected store in Pick in Store cleared after returning to checkout

The ACSD-65331 patch fixes the issue where the selected store under the Pick In Store option is cleared when users repeatedly return to the checkout page. This patch is available when the Quality Patches Tool (QPT) 1.1.65 is installed. The patch ID is ACSD-65331. Please note that this issue is scheduled to be fixed in Adobe Commerce 2.4.9.

The patch is created for Adobe Commerce version:

  • Adobe Commerce (all deployment methods) 2.4.4 - 2.4.7-p5
NOTE
The patch might become applicable to other versions with new Quality Patches Tool releases. To check if the patch is compatible with your Adobe Commerce version, update the magento/quality-patches package to the latest version and check the compatibility on the Quality Patches Tool: Search for patches page. Use the patch ID as a search keyword to locate the patch.

Issue

The selected store under the Pick In Store option is cleared when users repeatedly return to the checkout page.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Enable In-Store Delivery by navigating to Stores > Configuration > Sales > Delivery Methods > In-Store Delivery.

  2. Configure a valid Google API key for Google Distance Provider by navigating to Stores > Configuration > Catalog > Inventory > Google Distance Provider.

  3. Go to Stores > Sources > Add New Source to add a new source with the following details:

    • Latitude: 41.917344
    • Longitude: -88.102569
    • Use as Pickup Location: Yes
    • Country: United States
    • State: Illinois
    • City: Carol Stream
    • Street: 565 E. Fullerton Ave.
    • Postcode: 60188
  4. Go to Stores > Stocks > Add New Stock to create a new stock.

    Assign the newly created source and the main website to this stock.

  5. Edit any product and:

    1. Assign it to the newly created source.
    2. Set its status to In Stock and quantity to greater than 0.
  6. Run your reindexers.

  7. On the storefront, create a new customer and set a California address as the default billing and shipping address.

  8. Add an additional Illinois address to the same customer (non-default).

  9. Add the configured product to the cart and proceed to Checkout.

  10. Select the Illinois address, choose Pick In Store as the shipping method, and click Next.

  11. Wait for the source to load and click Next.

  12. Navigate back to the homepage.

  13. Revisit the Checkout page.

Expected results:

The selected store should remain available under Pick In Store.

Actual results:

The shipping step starts to load and redirects to Pick In Store, but no store is visible.
