ACSD-58141: PHPSESSID regenerates on POST requests for logged-in customers if the L2 Redis cache is enabled
The ACSD-58141 patch fixes the issue where PHPSESSID
regenerates on POST requests for a logged-in customer if the L2 Redis cache is enabled, and the customer is updated from Admin. This patch is available when the Quality Patches Tool (QPT) 1.1.50 is installed. The patch ID is ACSD-58141. Please note that the issue was fixed in Adobe Commerce 2.4.7.

Prerequisites
Environment must be configured with Redis having at least 3 nodes.
Steps to reproduce:
- Create a simple product.
- Create a customer and log in to the Storefront.
- Check the value of
PHPSESSID
. - Send a few POST requests (For e.g., adding product to cart), and see that
PHPSESSID
remains the same). - Log in to the Admin panel and change the middle name of the customer.
- When the middle name is saved, change it and save it again a few times.
- On the storefront, send a POST request.
PHPSESSID
should have been updated. - On the storefront, send another POST request and check
PHPSESSID
. - Repeat the previous step a few times.
Expected results
PHPSESSID
is regenerated only once after changing customer data.
Actual results:
PHPSESSID
is regenerated every time the POST requests are sent.
