Hi, I’m Ross from the Commerce Optimizer team. Welcome to the video series on the Commerce Optimizer SFCC Connector.

Commerce Optimizer allows for the modernization of legacy e-commerce systems without having to completely replatform. This gives our customers the ability to leverage our AI-powered personalization features, such as product discovery and recommendations, as well as our Lightning Fast catalog service.

Today, I want to introduce the first step in how you could integrate an existing commerce platform, Salesforce Commerce B2C, or SFCC for short, with Commerce Optimizer.

First, we need to solve the problem of data synchronization so that you can take advantage of the features Commerce Optimizer has to offer. To do this, we have a Connector Starter Kit available right now on Adobe Exchange.

Our SFCC Connector is a fully featured integration that acts as a bridge between Salesforce and Commerce Optimizer. Think of it as your data pipeline. It takes your product catalog, pricing information, and other important data from SFCC and keeps them synchronized with Commerce Optimizer.

Key capabilities include catalog, price, and price book synchronization, as well as support for multiple product types, including configurable and bundled products. Since our Connector runs on Adobe App Builder, we can configure its scheduled actions for keeping our catalog automatically updated or trigger on-demand synchronizations, like our full and delta sync.

While our Commerce Optimizer SFCC Connector is fully featured, it is also a starter kit, meaning it is built for extensibility and designed to be a foundation that you can build upon. Start with the included functionality and customize the App Builder application to enhance and scale as best fits your business needs. How can you get started? First, head over to Adobe Exchange at exchange.adobe.com. Click the Experience Cloud tab at the top. Filter for the Commerce Cloud products, and then just search for SFCC.

You’ll find our Commerce Optimizer SFCC Connector right here. Clicking in will take you to our Connector’s detail page, which will have a diagram that shows the high-level data flow, as well as information about our Connector.

To install, click the Free button in the top right-hand corner.

Note that it is calling out that we need to have App Builder access in order to use this Connector, so we’ll click Yes, Continue. Once we have requested the Connector App Builder application, we can go straight to the code repository and see documentation by clicking the ellipses button here, and then clicking View App Documentation.

This will take us right to our public repository that contains the App Builder kit, and inside we’ll find installation instructions, which we will go through in a future video. In this video series, we’ll continue to explore the architecture, walk through installation steps, and demonstrate how to use this integration to keep your SSCC catalog data in sync with Commerce Optimizer.
