Hi, this is Russell with Adobe Commerce, and this session is all about managing the instances of your Adobe Commerce Optimizer.
To ensure we get started on the right path, you need to head over to experience.adobe.com and log in.
Once you’ve logged in, let’s verify that you’re in the correct organization, because there is a chance you might have multiple orgs assigned to you. If you look in that quick access area and you don’t see Commerce listed, you’re in the wrong one. So if needed, pick the right org and try again. Looking in that quick access area, click on Commerce, and when you do, you’re going to get a list of all of your Commerce instances, both production and staging. So let’s go over how to update the name and the description of those instances. You can do this by clicking on that pencil icon for the row that you want to edit. Doing so, you’ll be able to edit both of those elements. And if you were just exploring, it’s safe to hit cancel. However, if you did have an update, click save and verify that you get the green message on the bottom of the page, and it’s safe to move on.
Next, let’s show you how to find the instance details. And for this, you’re going to click on that circle with the letter I in the middle of it. This exposes several important details, starting with the GraphQL endpoint. And then below that is the catalog endpoint. And then third on that list is the Commerce optimizer URL, but I’m going to go over that in just a second.
You would use those first two endpoints to communicate to your instance.
Another important thing to note on this is your instance ID. You may also hear this referred to as the tenant ID. And for all the developers out there watching this, you would use those endpoints to integrate with your front end, or perhaps some backend systems.
Heading back to that Commerce optimizer URL, this is how you would manage your Commerce optimizer instance.
And by that, I mean, you’ll look at things like the reports, you can see the recommendations, catalog views, and more.
Well, that’s it for this session on managing Adobe Commerce optimizer instances. Please continue to use Experience League to learn more about Adobe Commerce, as well as all of the other Adobe products.
