ACSD-54989: Company admin cannot order when Enable Purchase Orders set to Yes and Purchase Order set to No

The ACSD-54989 patch fixes the issue where orders cannot be placed if Enable Purchase Orders set to Yes and Purchase Order set to No. This patch is available when the Quality Patches Tool (QPT) 1.1.40 is installed. The patch ID is ACSD-54989. Please note that the issue is scheduled to be fixed in Adobe Commerce 2.4.7.

The patch is created for Adobe Commerce version:

  • Adobe Commerce (all deployment methods) 2.4.6-p2

Compatible with Adobe Commerce versions:

  • Adobe Commerce (all deployment methods) 2.4.4-p5 - 2.4.6-p3
The patch might become applicable to other versions with new Quality Patches Tool releases. To check if the patch is compatible with your Adobe Commerce version, update the magento/quality-patches package to the latest version and check the compatibility on the Quality Patches Tool: Search for patches page. Use the patch ID as a search keyword to locate the patch.


Company admins cannot place orders when Enable Purchase Orders is set to Yes and Purchase Order set to No.


Install B2B modules.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Enable company and leave Order Approval Configuration > Purchase Order = No.
  2. Create a simple product with a price of 100.
  3. Create a new company through the Admin.
  4. Set Enable Purchase Orders to Yes.
  5. Log in as the company admin on the storefront.
  6. Add the created simple product to the cart.
  7. Proceed to the checkout page and click Place Order to complete the purchase.

Expected results:

You are able to place an order successfully.

Actual results:

The My Account page opens up and the order is not placed.
