Welcome to this tutorial on how to create and manage test profiles in Adobe Campaign V8. This guide will focus on the web UI and will explain what a test profile is, how to create a test profile, and how to edit a test profile to enhance your campaign management. Let’s dive in. When creating a campaign in Adobe Campaign, you will have the ability to create dynamic content and personalization within the messages that you send. Test profiles allow you to double-check that the message you are sending will appear to the user as expected. To create a test profile in the web UI, log in to Adobe Campaign V8. Once logged in, navigate to the Profiles section from the left-hand menu. Click into the Test Profiles tab and create a new test profile. Fill out the required fields, including first name, last name, email address, and any custom attributes. When all the details are complete, click Save to add the profile to your database. You have now created a test profile. In your test profile, you can specifically add data to the profile’s attributes that allow you to verify any dynamic content in your campaign. You will be able to send this contact, proofs of your message, render the email, and even preview the messages as this profile. Let’s say you made a mistake in your test profile or want to change how the profile would see a delivery. To manage or edit a test profile, navigate to the Profiles section in the web UI. Use the search bar to find the profile by entering the email address or name. Once you locate the profile, click on it to view its details and make any changes. Update any necessary fields such as contact information or segmentation data. If you need to deactivate a test profile, click the More button and choose Delete. This ensures that inactive profiles won’t interfere with your campaign testing. Test profiles are only used for proofs and previews and are excluded from the final delivery. And that’s it! You now know how to create, manage, and edit test profiles in the web UI of Adobe Campaign V8. These steps will help you maintain accurate and effective test profiles for your campaigns.
