Overview
This section covers the eight building blocks of AJO decisioning — decision item XDM, decision item creation and eligibility, collections, ranking formulas, selection strategies, decision policies, and decision packages — plus AI models, guardrails, and how decisioning extends beyond the legacy Offer Decisioning Engine (ODE). Each concept is reinforced with a hands-on simulation using playing cards and sticky notes to model a fictional Connection 5G phone launch.
Materials needed
- 12 playing cards: Jack, Queen, and King from each suit in a standard deck
- A pad of sticky notes (at least 13)
- A pen or pencil
- A flat, comfortable workspace to lay everything out
