Prerequisites
Overview
The LID methodology labs you are about to perform will teach you how to think when it comes to translating relational data models into the Experience Platform’s NoSQL data model. You will learn not just how to perform the data translations but more importantly why you must perform them and what questions you need to be asking along the way to validate your design.
In this video you will learn the three-step LID methodology of Label, Identify, and Denormalize used to translate relational data into the Real-Time Customer Profile’s XDM model.
Learning objectives
- Describe the training scenario customer architecture, data sources and business use cases
- Explain how to convert an Entity Relationship Diagram’s (ERD) relationships and cardinality types of one-to-many, many-to-one and one-to-one into XDM
- Describe the composition of the Real-Time Customer Profile as it relates to XDM schemas
- Identify the steps within the LID Methodology and how to effectively apply each step to a relational database model
