Create an AEM project

Learning scenario

The WKND team knows that with any content management system, it is vital to keep the content up-to-date and fresh to increase user engagement. The WKND team is exploring using AEM projects to have digital librarians and other AEM users periodically submit for review the assets they manage, and to decide whether to keep, remove, or replace or touch up those assets. For now, the DAM admin will add librarians to an AEM project, and the librarians will add the assets that are due for review. The process then moves assets to the designated reviewer for evaluation and ultimately to completion.

A master project has already been set up to refresh assets. The DAM admin (instructor) will create a refresh project based on this master project. Master projects allow for the same users and groups to be added to a new project quickly. The master project will have permissions for:

• The training-users group as Editors to create/assign tasks to a project.
• Alison Smith as Viewer to review tasks.

In the future, this process could be improved with Assets Insights provided by an Adobe Analytics integration, or the process could easily be moved to an integrated Workfront implementation, giving even richer controls over the process portion of the work.
