Manage metadata and asset lifecycle

Demo 2.1: dam admin creates folder wknd teams

In this demonstration, your instructor (playing the DAM administrator role) will create the root WKND Teams folder.

Now that you've learned about creating the WKND Teams folder, let's learn about creating folders and uploading assets.

Learning scenario

To set up each WKND team in AEM Assets, the DAM administrator has asked you to create a folder directory for the Ski team in WKND Shared, so your team can upload, manage, and maintain the assets they create. The DAM admin asks you to upload a few initial assets and check the descriptive metadata to ensure there is a title, description, and searchable terms. Make sure to add your organization information too. Once you complete this task, choose the best asset that represents the Ski team and email the original asset, a watermark rendition, and thumbnail renditions of your preferred skiing asset to the marketing team.

So far, you have received several assets from the Ski team:

In this activity, you will create a folder called User0XX Ski Team and upload assets to it.
