Module 5 overview
What you'll learn
In this module, you will learn how to:
-
Create Experience Fragments that enable reusing of content across channels.
-
Add Experience Fragments to pages to create a specific user experience.
-
Create a Content Fragment that allows text-based content to be authored and managed independently of the channels it supports.
-
Add associated content that provides a connection so that assets can be optionally used with the fragment when it is added to a content page.
Content fragments and experience fragments: an overview
Content Fragments and Experience Fragments are different features within AEM:
- Content Fragments are editorial content, primarily text and related images. They are pure content, without design and layout.
- Experience Fragments are fully laid-out content; a fragment of a webpage.
AEM Content Services are designed to generalize the description and delivery of content in and from AEM, beyond a focus on webpages. They provide the delivery of content to channels that are not traditional AEM webpages, using standardized methods that can be consumed by any client.
In the next lesson, you'll learn how to create Experience Fragments for reuse.
