Create a custom action to generate and email PDFs

You create and configure a custom action in Journey Optimizer that calls a Node.js REST service to generate and email a personalized PDF.

The service runs on Render and uses Experience Manager Forms to produce the PDF and SendGrid to deliver it.

You map a mix of fixed values and profile attributes to the action request so document ID, subject, and entity NS remain constant while entity ID and recipient email come from the profile.

By the end of this step, you have a reusable custom action ready to be invoked from journeys to send personalized documents.
