Steps to troubleshoot DDX related issues

This video walks through the steps to capture the required information to troubleshoot DDX related issues in Forms Assembler service.

Transcript

Hello everyone, in this video we will explain the steps to capture the required information to troubleshoot DDX related issues in AEM Forms assembler service. DDX is the single most important piece of information for reporting the issues related to the assembler services. Starting with the steps, please ensure that the exact DDX file being used for the conversion is attached to the use case. If you are generating the DDX dynamically, please isolate the use case and further elaborate on how you are generating the dynamic DDX file and using it to call the assembler service. If the DDX being used is not readily available, you can enable debug level logs for the package. If you are using OSGI stack, you can follow these simple steps to add the logger and complete the configuration for the package. To do so, open the web console of AEM and in the navigation, select add new logger. Click on the info dropdown and select the debug option. Now give a name and click on the save option after adding the package com.adobe.ft.assembler.service.imp.

The log will be saved. Now in case of J2EE stack, you can add the debug level for the package in the application lead server config file. Here we are using JBoss, so the relevant configuration will be updated in the lctunky file. Please ensure that you share your DDX file and the debug level logs in the exact input documents for the reproduction of the issue. Thank you for watching this video.
