Hello everyone. Today we will be discussing how to update CORBA timeout in PDFG to mitigate transaction rollback issues. In the previous video, we showed you how to update global transaction timeout and server conversion timeout. In this video, we will discuss the steps to update CORBA request timeout. Like mentioned in our previous videos, the PDFG timeout limits should be in increasing order. Hence, we will set the limit of CORBA request timeout to 1200 seconds in Jboss and WebSphere application server. In EAP Jboss 6.x application server, we will navigate to Jboss root, server, server name, configuration and open the jacorb.properties file for editing. Then we will set the value of the jacorb timeout to say 1200 seconds and restart the Jboss application server. With AEM Form 6.4, where Jboss EAP 7 is used, the process using which these requests is catered has changed. With EAP 7, JDK ORB/IIOP is used. For Jboss 7.x, we will navigate to bin folder inside Jboss in AEM Forms directory and open the standalone.config.bat file. In that, we will change the value of jacorb timeout to 1200 seconds as shown here and see if the file and restart the application server to make the changes effective. For WebSphere application server, log into the WebSphere Administrative Console. Click Servers, Server type and choose WebSphere application server and then click the name of the server instance to configure. For example, here I have selected server1. Under Container Settings, click Container Services then ORB service. Under General Properties in the Request timeout box, type 1200 and click OK or Apply. Then click save directly to master configuration. Make sure to restart the application server to make the changes effective. So in this way, you can successfully update CORBA timeout in PDFG to mitigate transaction rollback issues. Thank you. -
