Adobe Commerce on cloud infrastructure provides an automated hosting platform with a self-service approach to building, deploying, and managing your Commerce application in a cloud-native environment. Adobe Commerce on cloud infrastructure comes with additional features that distinguish it from the on-premises Adobe Commerce and Magento Open Source platforms:

  • A pre-provisioned infrastructure that includes PHP, MySQL (MariaDB), Redis or Valkey, message queue services (RabbitMQ or ActiveMQ), and supported search engine technologies.
  • Git-based workflow with automatic build and deploy for efficient Rapid development and Continuous deployment every time you push code changes in a Platform as a Service (PaaS) environment.
  • Highly Customizable environment configuration files and command-line interface (CLI) manage and deploy tools.
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) hosting that offers a Scalable and Secure environment for online sales and retailing.

AWS regions

NOTE
Adobe Commerce on cloud infrastructure is not available in China or Russia. Only on-premises deployments are supported in those countries.

Azure regions

Only on-premises deployments are supported in China and Russia. All merchants that require integration environments must use US regions.

Clarified in Cloud Patches for Commerce and Release notes for Commerce Cloud Tools Suite that, starting with version 1.1.15, customers must download the Cloud Patches for Commerce package through Composer from repo.magento.com rather than from GitHub, and that an Adobe Commerce on cloud infrastructure entitlement is required.
