You can collect data from a file to process it and/or to import it into the Adobe Campaign database.
This video explains how to use the Data Management activities in a workflow to import profile data.
Welcome to Adobe campaign. This video will show you how to import profiles by using workflow and Adobe campaign. First of all create a workflow. Go to the program in which the workflow will be integrated. Click the create button to add a workflow type marketing activity Follow the steps in the creation wizard.
Click to create a button to confirm creating the workflow. In activities data management menu select the transfer file activity and drag and drop it into your workflow. open the activity by double clicking its icon the connection parameters defined in the external account option is selected by default.
Select the account and confirm your choice In the file path on the remote server field enter the path of the file to be retrieved. confirm your activity add a Load File activity after the transfer file activity open it use the file specified in the inbound transition option is selected by default By selecting this option you are letting Adobe campaign know that you would like to use the data in the file that will have been downloaded once the first activity is executed. Select the file to define the structure of the file that will be downloaded by the workflow. The file structure is automatically detected by Adobe campaign. you can check it by selecting the file format category In the column definition tab, you can check whether the column processing has been carried out correctly by Adobe campaign. If necessary click the data to edit it.
Confirm your activity Now add an update data activity after the Load File activity open it Click the Create an element button to add a new reconciliation criteria. In the source expression category click the select an expression button. choose email and confirm Do the same for the destination category. Adobe campaign will use the email of any any identified profiles to verify whether they are already present in the instance. If this is the case it will update them if necessary. In the fields to update tab click the Plus button to add fields which will be updated when the workflow is started. To do that select the source expression namely the label of the source file column and confirm. then select a destination namely the label of the field to update in the dimensions selected in Adobe campaign. and confirm click Add Repeat this operation to every field in your source file that you would like to recover or use magic wand to automatically recover the fields from the updated file. confirm your activity save your workflow Now that your workflow is configured you must started to recover the data in your source file and enrich your Adobe campaign instance. click the Start button in the action bar Adobe campaign executes your workflow once the workflow has finished with no error You can check whether the data has been correctly imported into your instance you now know how to import profiles using the workflow and Adobe campaign.
