Transcript
Welcome to Adobe Campaign Classic. In this module we will be looking at accessing built-in reports. By the end of this module you should be able to describe built-in reporting and analysis in Campaign Classic. List different types of reports available in Campaign Classic, and generate a delivery report.
One thing to know before continuing is that Adobe Campaign Classic isn’t a specialized reporting tool. It is not designed for database exports. For exporting data an export activity is required within a workload to achieve this. We will only be focusing on built-in reports. Let’s dive right in and have a look at how to access built-in reports.
There are multiple approaches to accessing built-in reports in Adobe Campaign Classic. The first approach for accessing built-in reports is through global reports which relate to activity of the data in the entire database. With this approach, you have access to all types of data. To access these reports, select the reports tab.
This shows you all available reports at your disposal. This main list of reports lets you access delivery data very quickly. I will briefly go through some of the important delivery reports. You can use the search fields to filter and find exactly what you need.
Let’s filter on reports, containing the word deliver.
Then select the report that suits your needs. For the demo let’s look at the summary of deliveries.
This will generate a report for every delivery in the database and can be used to measure the success of deliveries in a Campaign. In this report, you can see the initial population which is the proposed Campaign targets. Messages rejected by exclusion rules who are recipients, who are quarantined, blacklisted, or are not defined. This chart breaks down the exclusions into more detail.
Finally, you can see the delivery statistics highlighting the messages to deliver after analysis and the number of successes and failures.
Now that this report is generated you could perform various actions using the icons and the toolbar to the right of the report window.
You can export the report to Excel, PDF or OpenDocuments.
You can print the reports.
You can also create a report archive. Archiving your report lets you create a view of the report at various periods. This is useful to show the statistics for a given period of time.
You click okay to save this report.
You can then view the saved histories here in this dropdown.
You can see here that numbers are a little different from before.
You can return to the current data in the same drop down.
Once you are done with the report you can back out with this return arrow.
Let’s have a look at another report. Let’s look at non-deliverables and bounces.
This report shows a breakdown of non-deliverables as well as a breakdown of bounces per Internet domain.
Here, you can see the total number of messages processed by the delivery server.
From these processed messages, there are two types of breakdowns for errors by type and by domain. Giving you more visibility on understanding how and why errors occurred.
Another approach for accessing reports is on an individual delivery level. To access these select the campaigns tab, navigate to the deliveries, and select the delivery you would like to display the data for. I will do it for our email delivery.
In the summary, you can find the reports link at the top right.
Now I have access to all reports pertaining to deliveries. This is the same view as the global level and you can access very similar reports such as the summary of delivery.
Now you can have reports focusing on a single delivery with all the same features as the global reports.
Lastly, you could display cumulative reports on multiple deliveries. This is a great approach, if you’d like reports on some of your most recent deliveries or for an older set of deliveries. Start by selecting explorer, go to campaign management and select deliveries.
Here you can see all available deliveries and can select as many as you would like.
Now you can generate any report that suits your needs.
Now you should be able to describe built-in reporting and analysis in campaign classic. List the different types of reports available in campaign classic, and be able to generate a delivery report. Thanks for listening, and I’ll see you next time. -
